There is a tussle on the ongoing SIR in Uttarakhand, due to which politics heated up today over the ongoing SIR (Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Roll) in Udham Singh Nagar. During the meeting held in the presence of the Kumaon Commissioner at the Collectorate Auditorium in Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar, BJP MLA from Rudrapur Shiv Arora and Congress leader and former MLA Rajkumar Thukral came face to face with some objection. Soon the two got into a heated argument and reached a scuffle. Somehow, the local administration expelled former MLA Thukral, while BJP MLA Rudrapur Shiv Arora and former MLA Kichcha Rajesh Shukla sat on a dharna with their supporters outside the DM's office and demanded to file a case. Let us tell you that Kumaun Commissioner Deepak Rawat was taking a review meeting of the SIR at the Collectorate. All the top officials of the district including the DM, SSP and BJP-Congress leaders were present in the meeting.
