Guldar attacks in Pauri and Champawat took away the happiness of two families. In Uttarakhand, two children have died in Guldar attacks during the last two days. The first incident took place on 3 November 2026 in Ojali village of Pauri Garhwal, where seven-year-old Aarushi was attacked by Guldar. Guldar picked up the child and took her to the bushes, where her body was later recovered. The second incident took place on 5 November in Sui Dungri village in Lohaghat area of Champawat district, where a 13-year-old boy was attacked by Guldar near his home. The teenager was returning home after watching the Raikot fair. Both these incidents have once again raised serious questions about the growing human-wildlife conflict in Uttarakhand and the safety of children in rural areas. After the death of Pauri four-year-old Aarushi in Guldar's attack, the anger of the villagers erupted in Khandusain area of Pauri. The villagers came out on the road and surrounded the forest department.
