Two Men Arrested for Stealing and Murdering Woman Over Dispute

They were finally arrested on the basis of confidential information and investigation. The accused were booked at Khed police station. The complainant in the case is Fatima Issac Surve (Ra. Savanas, Ta. Khed, G. Ratnagiri). According to the police, the accused, Juhur Abdul Razzaq Surve and Gufran Abdul Razzaq Surve (both Ra. Savanas, Ta. Khed), had stolen Rs. 10,000 from the house of deceased Abida Mianso Surve (75) in 2005. Out of which they had returned Rs. 5,000. However, due to a dispute over the remaining amount, the accused killed Abida Surve and destroyed the evidence and fled from the spot. Meanwhile, the accused had changed their names and addresses to hide their identities. They lived in Moho, Chikhle (Ta. Panvel, G. Raigad) under the names Raju Gajanan Tambe and Sandeep Gajanan Tambe, respectively.
