Typhoon Dujuan Threatens Historic India-Japan Cricket Match

Strong winds and torrential rain forced Team India to cancel their training session a day before the match. Fans are worried about this special match to be held at the Sano International Cricket Ground on September 22. The Indian team, captained by Shreyas Iyer, is scheduled to play a one-off T20I against Japan. This will be the two countries'first meeting in men's international cricket. The match is named Suzuki Cup and is being held to mark 75 years of India-Japan diplomatic relations. However, the weather has disrupted Team India's preparations ahead of the match. Typhoon Dujuan was heading towards Japan's Pacific coast on September 21. Heavy rains and strong winds continue to lash the Kanto region under its influence. The weather agency has also warned that the city of Sano could be hit by a typhoon as soon as September 22.
