The war in West Asia is beginning to take its toll on the global economy. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has left countries around the world, including India, worried about their energy supplies. On the other hand, countries in the region are also facing continued insecurity. Husain Hassan Mirza, the UAE's former ambassador to India, said that a phone call from PM Modi could resolve the issue if he speaks to his counterparts in Iran and Israel. In a conversation with NDTV, Mirza also mentioned the UAE's discomfort with the war. He said that the UAE does not want the war to last long and would not allow its territory to be used for any kind of attack. Mirza said, "Frankly, I don't understand why we should get involved. There is no reason for the UAE to get involved." Mirza said, Abu Dhabi is both Iran's and Israel's partner, and Modi can re-establish relations between the two countries.
