Ukraine Blocks SpaceX's Starlink Satellite System Amid US Government Involvement

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said that SpaceX's satellite system is still banned in Ukraine. Zelenskyy's claim drew reactions from both the Trump administration and Elon Musk. The question is, why did Musk's company do it? Reuters reported on Friday (October 16) that the order to block Starshield came from inside the White House. The report did not name the White House official who made the decision. Ukraine uses two satellite systems for different purposes. SpaceX's Starlink supports communications and defense military operations, while Starshield is controlled by the US government and is used for military strikes. Trump said on shutting down Starlink in Ukraine, "I didn't do it. I don't know if it was done by anyone else, and I don't think it was done by Allen, but I'm going to find out during this jail time. I don't think the US president is also working on the Slowdown claims."
