Addressing a press conference late on Wednesday evening, Union minister JP Nadda hit out at the Congress and the opposition over the paper leak issue. He accused Rahul Gandhi of seeking political mileage and playing selective politics. Nadda made it clear that the Modi government at the Centre is fully serious about the issue and is ready to discuss it at any length in Parliament. He said, "I want to ask Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi ji, why are you selective? Why did you not mention the paper leak cases during the UPA and UPA-supported governments i. e. INDIA coalition governments?" JP Nadda referred to paper leaks and examination irregularities in several states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Punjab, Kerala and Karnataka. Nadda said he has noted a few cases in general and wants to discuss them. He gave the example of Jammu and Kashmir where the paper was leaked in the Services Selection Board examination, where the Congress and the National Conference are in power.
