Unseasonal Rain and Strong Winds Wreak Havoc on Crops in Eastern India

Bhuleshwar: Unseasonal rain accompanied by gusty winds on Wednesday evening in the eastern part of Purandar taluka caused extensive damage to various crops in the hands of farmers. Temperatures rose significantly throughout the day. Strong winds started suddenly in the afternoon. The speed of the wind was such that the onion seed crops were uprooted in many places. Around six o'clock in the evening, hailstorms, thunderstorms, and hailstorm hit the areas of Malshiras, Tekwadi, Rajewadi, Pargaon, and Naigaon. The unseasonal rains that lasted for about an hour have caused great damage to the onion, wheat, green gram, and sorghum crops in the fields. The farmers are in trouble as the unseasonal rains have taken away the grass from their hands. In addition, the mango trees and pomegranate, pomegranate, and cauliflower trees have also been damaged.
