Unseasonal Storm Hits Wankaner, Threatens Crop Damage

(By Litesh Chandarana) Wankaner At 4 pm, a sudden change in the weather has been seen in the city and the surrounding rural areas. Suddenly, black clouds have surrounded the sky and a strong wind has started blowing. The speed of the wind is so visible that it has become like a mini-storm. Along with this storm, unseasonal rain has also fallen in the area. The rain has also been accompanied by a large hailstorm in many places. This unseasonal rain (Mawatha) and snowstorm in the Wankaner area has increased the worries of the farmers. At present, the Rabi crop in the fields is ready or is about to be harvested. Crops like cumin, wheat, chickpea, coriander, and castor are expected to suffer extensive damage from this hailstorm and heavy wind. The farmers are in despair as they are about to be swept away.
