UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Slams Opposition Over Religious Events

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Congress and the Samajwadi Party while inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 90 development projects worth Rs 868 crore in Ghaziabad. He said that the parties who once tried to stop the Kanwar Yatra, Ram Navami, Janmashtami and religious events, the talk of faith seems ridiculous today. The Chief Minister said that his government gave security and respect to the Kanwar Yatra, while the opposition tried to stop it. He also called the development work done in Ghaziabad, the changes in law and infrastructure as a big achievement of the government. The CM referred to the Kanwar Yatra meeting in 2017. He said that it was in the old regime that the Kanwar Yatra could lead to riots, so it should be stopped. If some people take out this yatra, they should be stopped from ringing bells, gharials, conches, etc. I asked the officials about its preparation. I said that the yatra will go out peacefully.
