US-India Ties to be Discussed as Secretary of State Rubio Visits India Ahead of Modi-Trump Meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump are expected to meet in June. PM Modi and President Trump will travel to France to attend the G7. All sides are preparing for this meeting. Before PM Modi and Trump meet, the US Secretary of State will visit India. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will come to Delhi in May. Rubio's visit will give a final shape to Modi and Trump's meeting. The last time the two leaders met was in February 2025, although the two leaders have been talking on the telephone. The G-7 summit is to be held in Évian, France. This meeting will be held on June 1. The French President has invited Prime Minister Modi to participate. Although Trump's participation in the G7 is yet to be officially announced, but preparations are underway. There is also a situation of tension in the relationship due to Trump's negative remarks about India. In such a situation, America wants to remove many communication gaps. US President Donald Trump is under tremendous pressure to improve relations with India.
