US-Iran Conflict Escalates: US Strikes IRGC Bases, Iran Targets US Military Installations

The scope of the war in West Asia appears to be expanding rapidly once again. The United States launched a large-scale military operation against Iran for the fourth consecutive day, striking the bases of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). In response, Iran targeted American military bases in several Arab countries in the Gulf, which has led to a peak in tensions throughout the region. According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), about 140 Iranian military bases were attacked in the latest military operation. These include missile and drone launch sites, naval bases, weapons stockpiles, communication networks, and coastal surveillance systems. CENTCOM claims that, in the last three days, more than 300 military bases have been targeted in order to weaken Iran's ability to attack merchant ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. After the US strikes, Iran also retaliated. Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Qatari residents have been advised to stay away from their homes.
