US-Iran Peace Deal Criticized by Israel's Ambassador to India

Israel's Ambassador to India Reuven Azar on Thursday categorically stated that the US-Iran peace deal has ignored issues important to Israel. He said this in an exclusive interview to India Today. Azar pointed out that the deal does not address Iran's ballistic missile program and its support for proxy groups. He warned that if these security-related issues are not resolved, there could be a confrontation with Iran in the future. Azar said, "Israel's interests have been affected in terms of ballistic missiles. The biggest challenge for Israel is the issue of ballistic missiles and Iran's support for proxy groups." Proxy groups here mean organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas, which are believed to receive money and weapons from Iran. He also said, "We have concerns on the nuclear issue." On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud signed a Middle East agreement that was aimed at halting the Middle East conflict.
