US Launches Major Campaign Against Iran's Global Financial Network

The United States has launched a major campaign against Iran's global financial network. The United States has issued an open warning to countries around the world to adhere to timelines for halting their activities supporting Tehran, or they could face sanctions. US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant said the campaign is aimed at targeting the economic avenues Iran uses to raise revenue and evade US sanctions. He made clear that Washington's goal is to cut financial lines supporting the Iranian government and force countries and companies that do business with Tehran to rethink their relationships. Besant has said that any entity that helps Iran launder money will be shut out of the US dollar system. Besant says, "Our goal is to eliminate every economic lifeline that sustains this tyrannical regime, let alone Tehran." It's announcement of sanctions on 60 individuals, oil fields, and nuclear sites, along with the announcement of new oil, missile and cyber networks.
