US Seeks Winter Ceasefire in Ukraine-Russia Conflict: Talks Underway

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in an interview that the US is exploring the possibility of whether Russia and Ukraine can de-escalate the war during the winter. The goal is to restart negotiations for a peace agreement. US representatives (Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner) met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow for about three hours and then with Zelenskyy in Kiev. According to US envoys, Russia is ready for talks. Zelenskyy, however, is not fully trusting this, as Russian attacks on the Maidan continue. Attacks on power and heating facilities in winter are trying to be agreed in some key areas. Keeping trade and grain supplies going so as not to increase inflation and food crisis globally in winter. Putin's hardline advantage: Donald Trump believes that Ukraine cannot be forced to attack US energy infrastructure (electricity) and President Zelenskyy believes that Ukraine should be jailed (electricity) before the elections.
