Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Expansion: Ministers' Portfolios Remain Unknown Amid Deadlock

The third cabinet expansion of the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has completed a week, but the portfolios of the new ministers are still not known. The sworn-in honorable ministers are currently confined to their empty chambers, official bungalows and shiny government vehicles and their portfolios are not yet known. It was expected that the distribution of portfolios would be done soon after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Home Minister Amit Shah and National President Nitin Navin in Delhi, but the fact is that there has been a'deadlock'between Delhi and Lucknow over the portfolios. It is believed that the departments like PWD, Urban Development, Health and Information are stuck in Delhi and Lucknow, but no formula is being worked out yet. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also adamant about some ministries. Not only the talk of portfolios, but the sources of changing the portfolios of the deputy CM are also stuck.
