Uttar Pradesh Develops Terai Region as New Center for Bio-Pharma Industry

The Yogi government is constantly working towards making the state a major center of pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing. Under this, the Yogi government has taken a big step towards developing the Terai region of Pilibhit as a new center of bio-pharma industry. As per the intention of CM Yogi, a modern industrial area of 951.79 acres is being developed by the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) in Bhara Pachpeda of Amariya tehsil of Pilibhit. 200 acres of land has been marked for a bio-pharma park. The park will promote the manufacture of modern biological medicines like vaccines, insulin, gene therapy and monoclonal antibodies. Through this, there is a plan to create a new industrial ecosystem for biotechnology-based manufacturing, research and innovation in the state. Promoted Uttar Pradesh Pharma Council Director and Specialist Dr. G. N. Singh said that the Chief Minister's emphasis is on developing new industrial areas in Pilibhit's industrial area instead of keeping the industrial development of Pilibhit on a limited scale.
