New Delhi: Uttarakhand Congress senior vice-president and spokesperson Dhirendra Pratap has expressed displeasure over the delay in identifying the Uttarakhand statehood agitators from Delhi. He wrote a letter to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, saying that the agitators from Delhi had an important contribution in the formation of Uttarakhand state, but they could not be identified even after years. According to Dhirendra Pratap, the applications of more than 300 agitators have been pending in the Dehradun Secretariat for a long time. This process has been stuck since the time of the Harish Rawat government, but it has not been completed till date. He demanded an early decision from the government. He said that he had met the Chief Minister several times and raised the issue of identifying the agitators from Delhi, Chandigarh, Rohtak, Meerut, Bahadurgarh, Faridabad and Mumbai. All these people had played an important role in the Uttarakhand statehood movement.
