JAGRAN Correspondent, DEHRADUN: The Dhami government has taken a major step towards regularising the amendments made in three important provisions of the GST in Uttarakhand. The state cabinet has cleared the way for these amendments to be tabled in the assembly in the form of a bill. This paves the way for legislative approval to the amendments related to tax benefits on post-sale rebates, issuance of credit notes, and refund facility to manufacturers with inverted tax structure. According to the press note issued by the Finance Department (State Tax Department), the Uttarakhand Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2017 has been amended in line with the changes made in the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. For this, the Uttarakhand Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026 was issued on 3rd September 2026. Now this ordinance is being restored in the assembly in the form of a bill. Section 15 of the GST Act prescribes the value of taxable supplies.
