Vijayawada Police Denies Permission for YSRCP Protests Against DSC Recruitment Irregularities

VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Krishnakanth Patil said the NTR police commissionerate has denied permission for the dharnas, rallies and other protest programmes proposed by the YSRCP on September 21 against alleged irregularities in the DSC recruitment process. Addressing a press conference, DCP said the party had sought permission to conduct constituency-level protests as part of its statewide call. However, permissions were denied in view of prohibitory orders already in force in the city under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Section 30 of the Police Act.
