Vijay's Party Wins Big in Tamil Nadu Assembly Election

In Tamil Nadu, actor Vijay, popularly known as Thalapathy (commander), crushed the traditionally strong Dravidian parties DMK and AIADMK with a thumping performance. Vijay's success in his very first battle shows that after giving these two parties a chance alternately for the last five decades, people were bored of them and saw Vijay as the new option. As a result, Vijay's fledgling party TVK got 108 seats in the 234-member assembly, but fell 10 seats short of the magic figure of 118 seats needed for a majority. Only this raises the question of how they will get a majority in the house. Apart from the parties'arithmetic TVK, DMK got 59 seats and AIADMK got 47 seats. AIADMK made it clear after the results that it will not ally with Vijay in any way. Vijay has got a mandate against DMK, so the question of going with him does not arise. Now talk about the other parties, Congress, PMK, PMUK, PMK, CPIM, and VMK have 2 seats each.
