Violent Protest Erupts in Manendragarh Over Death of Admitra Sagar

After this incident, the family members of the deceased and a large number of Congress leaders and workers gheraoed the Manendragarh police station. When the body arrived after about two hours, the protest became more violent. The family members and Congress leaders and workers put the body on the road and protested loudly. They demanded the seizure of the JCB and proper compensation. After the protest lasted for about five hours, the Additional Superintendent of Police, Additional Collector and Naib Tehsildar reached the spot. They spoke to the family and Congress leaders. The officials assured immediate assistance and maximum compensation. The family members then agreed to send the body for postmortem. During this time, the main road in front of the police station was blocked for hours, which affected the traffic. Admitra Sagar was a native of Madhya Pradesh. He had been living in his in-laws'house in Manendragarh city for the last four years. There is a big question mark over his maintenance. Whether the JCB will face major action or not, it remains to be seen.
