Voter List Controversy in Bagda Assembly Area: Matua Community Members Missing

After the publication of the final voter list (first phase) after the SIR, the names of many Matua community voters were reported to be missing. This time the name of the member of Bagda Gram Panchayat was not found in the final list. The name of the member of the panchayat is Kabita Bain. She is a Matua community person and a BJP member of the panchayat. As soon as the matter came to light, there was an uproar in the area. After the publication of the final voter list, more than 15,000 names were found to be missing in the Bagda assembly area. Most of them are reportedly from the Matua community. Meanwhile, the name of the panchayat member Kabita Bain has been removed. However, due to the absence of the name in the voter list, Kabita Bain has pointed the finger of blame at the Trinamool and the CPM. She said, "The Trinamool and the CPI-M have conspired to remove my name from the voter list. My parents'name is there in the 2002 voter list. The BDO saw the link of the voter list with my parents." Later, too, Kabita Bagdar, the head of the Panchayat SIR, questioned why the names were missing.
