Voter List Verification Process Under Scrutiny Amidst Bella Estate Controversy

The Bella Estate voter controversy continues to rage on. It has put a question mark on the voter list verification process. The Congress alleges that 728 names were deleted from the voter list. Rahul Gandhi cites a classic example of "vote theft." However, the BLO involved in the verification has stated the exact opposite. Aaj Tak's ground investigation revealed that many families in Bella Estate were living in slums with no electricity, water and other basic amenities. At the same time, Aaj Tak's documents show that a large number of SIR forms had the same general address. The BLO handed over the phone to Aaj Tak and said that when she went to the address, she did not find any house there. The BLO says that after the area was handed over, she went to the voters'addresses herself but did not find any house there nor did the voters. The BLO has claimed that the place was a deserted area. When she reached there, she claimed that her senior officials had only followed this verification process.
