Voting Issues Plague Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Elections

Ahmedabad, તા.27: Most of the slips issued by political parties in the municipal corporation elections showing details including ward-wise polling numbers and polling stations did not reach door-to-door, with voters seeking information at the collector's office. Some voters refrained from voting in the scorching heat. There were also calls at the collector's control room about BJP banners hanging at polling stations despite the code of conduct. Political parties campaigned vigorously with drums in the municipal corporation elections, but the slip management proved to be weak as the polling slips did not reach door-to-door. On the other hand, voters were disturbed after the operation of the SIR by the Election Commission, especially those whose names were missing from the electoral rolls for years and some polling stations were also changed.
