We The Leaders' First Major Public Event: K Annamalai's Drug-Free Tamil Nadu Campaign Launches

Former Tamil Nadu BJP state president K Annamalai arrived in Coimbatore on Sunday (12 July 2026). He is here to address the first major conference of his new political outfit We The Leaders. The event is being held as part of the Drug-Free Tamil Nadu campaign. The event, titled Drug-Free Pollachi Awareness Conference, is scheduled for today (12 July) in Pollachi. This is the first major public event of We The Leaders, an organisation started by Annamalai after he left the BJP. It is being considered important in Tamil Nadu politics because of this. Before the event, Amar Prasad Reddy, a supporter of Annamalai's organisation and former state secretary of Tamil Nadu BJP, said that this conference is being held in a completely different way. He informed that no formal invitation has been sent to anyone for this event and no VIP or VVIP passes have been arranged. Amar Prasad Reddy said that while he has organized many big events in the BJP, he has personally told everyone that he wants to attend the event.
