West Bengal Government Decentralizes State School Service Commission to Ensure Transparency

The move is aimed at ensuring greater efficiency and transparency in the recruitment process, as the commission was beset with large-scale irregularities in the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff during the previous Trinamool Congress government. Under this initiative, the old system of operating WBSSC through five regional offices will be reintroduced.
