West Bengal Governor Resigns Amid Speculation

Governor of West Bengal C.V. Anand Bose resigned in the face of the vote. He resigned on Thursday evening in Delhi. He is reported to have sent his resignation letter to the President. He was appointed as the Governor of West Bengal on 17 November 2022, according to news agency ANI. C.V. Anand Bose told the news agency, "Yes, I have resigned. I have been the Governor of Bengal for three and a half years. I have stayed long enough." Speculation has begun as to why he suddenly resigned before the assembly elections. While it is not clear that most quarters agree that the decision was taken at the behest of the government at the Centre. There have been repeated disputes with various states over the use of the governor's post during Narendra Modi's tenure as prime minister. However, no reason has been given for his sudden resignation. There is also speculation as to who will take over as the interim governor. According to a section of the media, Tamil Nadu Governor N.
