Western Disturbance Brings Heavy Rains and Thunderstorms to Northwest India

According to the Meteorological Department, the Western Disturbance, which has become active since 18th June, will affect the weather in northwest India. Along with this, other weather systems present in different parts of the country are also active, due to which different weather patterns can be seen in different regions. There will be heavy rains and strong winds in some areas, while humidity and heat can increase the problems of the people. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea due to bad weather conditions in the sea areas as well. Under the influence of the Western Disturbance, thunderstorms with gusty winds speed reaching 40 to 50 kmph are expected in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir and Chandigarh. Hailstorm is also expected in some areas of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather may be relatively more severe in Rajasthan. Wind speed reaching 50 kmph is predicted in Maharashtra, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Goa and West Bengal during this period.
