Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Cracks Down on Fake Fertilizers

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday directed the state Agriculture Department to invoke the National Security Act (NSA) against those involved in the sale ofadulterated or fake fertilisers or in black marketing of fertilisers. In a meeting with the Agriculture Minister and department officials, the CM said that accountability should be fixed, and the guilty will face action irrespective of their position if the government receives any information about irregularities. He further said the activities of field-level officers will be monitored, and an open vigilance inquiry will be conducted if collusion or negligence is found at any level.
