Yardi, the founder of Yardi Systems and an alumnus of the 1968 batch of IIT Delhi, has announced an additional donation of Rs 75 crore. This will take his total contribution to Rs 150 crore. This amount will be used for research in the field of artificial intelligence and improving campus infrastructure. This initiative is expected to give a new dimension to studies, research and facilities at the institute. A significant part of this help to IIT Delhi will be spent on the development of the Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence. This institute is focused on advancing education and research in modern areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science. More than 40 teachers from different departments work here, giving practical and multidisciplinary knowledge to students. Research at this school is not limited to hostel technology. It is being used in areas such as health services, robotics, weather forecasting, and transport industry. A significant portion of the donation will also be spent on the development and benefit of new technologies.
