Yemen-Saudi Arabia Conflict Escalates as Houthi Rebels Accuse Saudi Arabia of Bombing Sanaa Airport

The Houthi rebels have also retaliated and fired missiles and drones at Saudi Arabia's Abha airport. The threat of war is feared to spread throughout the region with the opening of this new front of war in the Middle East. There were several explosions at Yemen's Sanaa airport on Monday. The Iran-backed Houthi rebels claim Saudi Arabia carried out the airstrike. The Houthi satellite news channel Al-Masirah TV showed footage of the attacks and explosions at Sanaa airport. However, Yemen's recognized government says the strikes were to prevent an Iranian plane from landing. There has been no statement from Saudi Arabia. Nor has it acknowledged that it carried out the attack on Sanaa airport. Iran's Defense Minister Tahir Ali, who is attending Ayatollah Khomeini's funeral, said.
