Young Man Accused of Hiding HIV Status in Affair Gone Wrong

A young man has been accused of having an affair with a woman on the promise of marriage and hiding his HIV status. The woman says that later his test also confirmed HIV infection. The young man allegedly refused to marry citing caste and family disagreements when pressured to marry. The victim has now approached the district collector demanding justice. The case is from the Tumusinga police station area of Kamakhyanagar area in Dhenkanal district. According to the victim, the young man had assured her that he would marry her. On this trust, the two developed a relationship. The woman alleges that the young man was already infected with HIV, but he hid this information from her. After some time during the health check-up, the woman came to know that the woman was HIV positive. She then demanded to marry the young man and take responsibility in the case, but the young man allegedly refused to marry. The victim alleged that the young man did not tell her about the caste and family differences, but the woman expressed confidence that the marriage could also be confirmed.
